The Saab motor car company The following company information and history timeline details the dates of major events which influenced the growth of the business.
1947: In 1947
SAAB ( Svenska Aeroplan AB) was founded in
Trollhättan, Sweden. The company merged with
ASJA who made aircraft in Linkoping, Sweden, and
the company moved there. Saab went in to a
different market and manufactured motor cars;
their first was the SAAB 92001. The car division
was based in Trollhättan. The 92001 was Saab’s
first prototype. |
