The Jensen motor car company In 1959 the Norcros Group took control of the Jensen company, then in 1966, due to disagreements, both Alan and Richard Jensen resigned. The Jensen company's majority shareholders, American car distributors Kjell Qvale, bought in Donald Healey as the new chairman in 1970. IDuring May 1976, Jensen motors ceased trading. In order to pick up the pieces of the Jensen motor company, two new companies were created, Jensen Special Products and Jensen Parts & Service Limited. Jensen Special Products was created out of the Jensen development department, who specialised in engineering and design. Jensen Parts & Service Limited was created to supply existing Jensen customers with parts and service. Holding company Britcar Holdings bought both, Jensen Special Products and Jensen Parts & Service Limited. Ian Orford, in 1982 bought Jensen Parts & Service Limited with the rights to use the Jensen name, put the Interceptor back into production changing it to the Mk IV. Ian Orford's Jensen Parts & Service was renamed Jensen cars Ltd, with 11 cars having bin made before the company was sold to Unicorn Holdings of Stockport, a Mk V Interceptor was put forward but never materialised, with only a few more Mk IV's actually being built, in 2001 their was a short revival which ended in 2002 with only the S-V8 model being produced .
