History of Frazer-Nash motor car company
The Frazer Nash car company was founded in 1922 by Archibald Frazer Nash, a British automobile manufacturer, the company was first established in Kingston upon Thames, Surrey and in 1929 moved to Isleworth London. In 1927 the company entered receivership and re emerged as AFN Limited.

Up until the mid 1930's the company had produced around 400 cars including noticeable chain driven models.

The company then became importers of BMW cars and they were sold as Frazer Nash BMW in 1934. Until WWII broke out in 1939 Frazer Nash were the official British BMW importers. Then in 1953 the company began selling Porsche cars becoming in 1956, the official Porsche importer for Great Britain. Being the official importers lasted up until 1965 when the company Porsche Great Britain was set up with the Aldington family remaining on the board of the company for some time. Between 1948 and 1957 85 Frazer Nash cars were produced, These cars were direct evolutions of the BMW 328 being entirely unrelated to the pre war chain driven Frazer Nash. With a choice of Bristol engines being successors to the imported BMW's devolved from the BMW 328.

Post war Frazer Nash cars are very highly prized by collectors.

Also to this day, several Frazer Nash successor companies are still active such as Frazer Nash Consultancy a engineering consultancy company and Frazer Nash Research who are working on electric vehicle design.
